Australia

With over 123 million hectares of native forests, Australia has the seventh largest forest area in the world, making up three per cent of the Earth’s forests. These forests are unique and varied – ranging from ancient Gondwana rainforest and tropical mangroves to extensive bush lands made up of native acacia, melaleuca and eucalyptus trees. CUTEK®’s donations help to plant trees all across Australia to recover forests affected by the 2019-20 Black Summer Bushfires and restore native habitat vital for wildlife.

Species: Native trees bring the greatest overall benefit to the ecosystem and region. This includes various types of native trees and companion plants. Depending on the specific needs of each section of habitat being restored, native trees planted may include acacia, banksia, eucalyptus, melaleuca, and many other native species.

United States

One Tree Planted has partnerships with the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. State Forest and Conservation District. Because of these partnerships, CUTEK®’s donation are able to plant trees in many regions across the United States, including California, Colorado, Florida and Oregon.

Species: Species planted include the Sugar Pine, California Redwood (State Tree), Maple, Elderberry, Willow, Birch, Dogwood, Cedar, Giant Sequoia, Walnut, Various types of oak, Yellow Poplar, American Chestnut and Hazelnut, Silky Dogwood, Persimmon, Cypress and Longleaf Pines, Carolina Silverbell, Chestnut and Palm.

Canada

CUTEK®’s donations help to plant trees in many regions of Canada including British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick.

Species: Over 40 different species of native trees, including some of Canada’s most interesting and valuable tree species. These are mostly coniferous, or softwood, and such include species such as pine, spruce, fir, hemlock and western red cedar.

Latin America

One Tree Planted’s projects in Latin America are rebuilding forests and restoring land so the benefits of healthy tropical forests can be felt around the world. They work with communities impacted by deforestation so they benefit from improved forest management practices and agricultural techniques like agroforestry. This also ensures the trees and land are taken care of for generations to come, and the forests can continue to thrive.CUTEK® has a strong presence in Chile so we have directed our donations in Latin America to the Chilean region.

Species: A variety of essential species for the region with the goal of focusing on bringing together ocean and forest conservation, providing ecological benefits related to both land and sea, with strong engagement with the local community.

Europe

CUTEK® donations help to plant trees in a number of projects throughout Europe, including Romania, Spain and Denmark. The aim is to seek to re-establish woodland, improve water and soil quality, and create habitat for wildlife in areas that were historically forested.

Species: Downy Birch, Lodgepole Pine, Sitka Spruce, Black Cottonwood, Beech, Spruce, Ash, Sycamore Maple, as well as varying species of Alder, Oak, Ash, Fir, Pine, Spruce, and Larch.

Asia

One Tree Planted’s projects across Asia are helping rebuild the habitat of critically endangered species like orangutans, tigers, and more than 1,700 species of birds. These projects are creating jobs and providing sustainable, long-term income for communities so people and forests can live together in harmony. CUTEK® has a strong presence in the Philippines so we have directed our donations in Latin America to the Philippines region.

Species: Trees are chosen that will bring the greatest overall benefit to the ecosystem and region. This includes different types of native trees and nursery crop species. Depending on the needs of each section of habitat being restored, species may include rainforest trees such as dipterocarps, agroforestry species such as native fruit trees and giant bamboo, or mangrove seedlings.

New Zealand

With over 8 million hectares of native forests, New Zealand boasts some of the most unique and diverse forested areas on the planet. These majestic landscapes range from the ancient kauri forests in the North to the dense beech and podocarp rainforests of the South. CUTEK®’s donations contribute to tree planting throughout New Zealand, aiding in the recovery of areas affected by deforestation and promoting the restoration of vital habitats crucial for the nation’s endemic wildlife.

Species: Native trees are paramount to maintaining the ecological balance and uniqueness of the New Zealand environment. This includes a variety of native trees and associated flora. Depending on the particular needs of each habitat being rejuvenated, the native trees planted might encompass kauri, totara, rimu, manuka, and many other indigenous species.

Environmentally responsible manufacturing

We continually go above and beyond to source sustainable raw materials in our effort to create high performance and environmentally responsible coatings that ACTUALLY WORK.

We are always looking for ways to minimize our manufacturing carbon footprint. CUTEK® products are manufactured with the use of high-grade recycled raw materials and renewable resources, which decreases waste streams and incinerations.

CUTEK® also recycles many other manufacturing materials such as pallets, drums and cardboard. This leads to a significant reduction in waste and reduces raw material requirements, indirectly reducing natural resource requirements. We try, in every way, to reduce unnecessary waste.
